Highlights

Cixian Temple
Shilin Cixian Temple (also called Shilin Mazu Temple) is dedicated to the goddess Mazu. Originally known as Tianhou Temple, it was built in 1796 with funding from a local merchant named He Chin-tang at the site of the present-day Shilin Tourist Night Market. The temple was destroyed in a fire that engulfed Zhilan Street during a fight between rival immigrant clans from Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in mainland China. Through the efforts of Pan Yung-ching, a member of the local gentry, the street was rebuilt at Xiashulin, known today as Shilin New Street. Cixian Temple was subsequently built at the center of this new street.
Ningxia Night Market
The night market is located along Ningxia Road, between Minsheng West Road and the Taipei Circle at Nanjing West Road. Bustling nighttime market featuring traditional food options in covered, outdoor surrounds. There's a lot to love about Ningxia. The variety of stalls and delicious street foods give it the apt nickname, “Taipei's Stomach.”
Shilin Night Market
Shilin (Shihlin) Night Market is a night market in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan, and is often considered to be the largest and most famous night market in Taiwan.
Taipei
Taipei, officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan (officially the Republic of China, ROC). Located in northern Taiwan, Taipei City is an enclave of the municipality of New Taipei City that sits about 25 km southwest of the northern port city of Keelung. Most of the city lies in the Taipei Basin, an ancient lakebed. The basin is bounded by the relatively narrow valleys of the Keelung and Xindian rivers, which join to form the Tamsui River along the city's western border.
Taipei City Wall-North Gate
The North Gate is located at the intersection of Zhongxiao West Road, Yanping North Road, Zhonghua Road, Yanping South Road and Bo’ai Road in Zhongzheng District. There are five historic city gates in Taipei: the East Gate (Jingfu Gate), West Gate (Baocheng Gate), South Gate (Lizheng Gate), Lesser South Gate (Chongxi Gate) and North Gate (Cheng’en Gate). They were built by Liu Ming-chuan during the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty as a measure to expedite urban development by encouraging businessmen to invest in or build houses/streets in Taipei City.
Ximending
Ximending is a neighborhood and shopping district in the Wanhua District of Taipei, Taiwan. It was the first pedestrian zone in Taiwan. Ximending has been called the "Harajuku of Taipei" and the "Shibuya of Taipei". Ximending is the source of Taiwan's fashion, subculture, and Japanese culture. Ximending has a host of clubs and pubs in the surrounding area. This area is in the northeastern part of Wanhua District in Taipei and it is also the most important consumer district in the Western District of Taipei. The well-known Ximending Pedestrian Area was the first pedestrian area built in Taipei and is the largest in Taiwan.
Yuanshan Park
Located in Taipei City, Taipei Expo Park - Yuanshan Park Area is Taiwan’s first park ever established in 1897. It is also the first large-scaled metropolitan park in Taipei City. During the year 1923, Taiwan government designed and constructed a sports stadium with the capacity of 2000 to welcome the arrival of the Japanese emperor’s visit which is now transformed into Zhongshan Soccer Stadium.
