Highlights

Brisbane
Brisbane, capital of Queensland, is a large city on the Brisbane River. Clustered in its South Bank cultural precinct are the Queensland Museum and Sciencentre, with noted interactive exhibitions. Another South Bank cultural institution is the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, among Australia's major contemporary art museums. Looming over the city is Mt. Coot-tha, site of Brisbane Botanic Gardens.
Curtis Falls
Located in the heart of Tamborine Mountain, “Curtis Falls” is the only waterfall that can be viewed from the bottom of the falls. Being fed by “Cedar Creek”, a permanent creek, the falls run all year-round. The walking track ends at a viewing platform overlooking a large rock pool, with great views of the falls and the surrounding columnar basalt rock face.
Glow Worm Caves
Glowing worms live in these environment-controlled manmade caves offering educational tours. The cave was created to protect the local species of glow worms, Arachnocampa Flava. Glow worms are actually fly larvae that glow in dar to attract and catch small insects. Glow worms are extremely useful in Australian ecosystems. They help control insect populations. The goal of our cave is to make an experience that is accessible for families while benefiting wild glow-worm populations.
Gondwana Rainforests
The Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, formerly known as the Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves, are the most extensive area of subtropical rainforest in the world. Collectively, the rainforests are a World Heritage Site with fifty separate reserves totaling 366,500 hectares from Newcastle to Brisbane.
Mount Tamborine Gallery Walk
The popular street lined with artisan candy stores, chic homeware shops, and laid-back restaurants and cafes. The park is part of the Shield Volcano Group of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. In December 1994, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee officially extended the area now known as the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area over the Scenic Rim (including Main Range, Mount Barney, Lamington and Springbrook National Parks, and Goomburra Forest Reserve) and the rainforests of northern New South Wales. In 2007 the areas of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia were added to the Australian National Heritage List. Tamborine Mountain was inhabited by Aboriginal People for tens of thousands of years and, at the time of early European settlement, lay in the territory of the Wangerriburras.
