Start the tour with stunning views of the harbor and the beautiful beaches that draw in so many tourists each year. Million Dollar mansions sit along the coastline line of Maunganui where you will stop for a chance to see the Cenotaph memorial commemorating ANZAC day. After this, you will pass by the Elms Mission station one of New Zealand's most important historic buildings.

Next, this tour will take you to the old fort of Monmouth Redoubt, where you will learn all about the New Zealand Wars fought in the 1860s before moving on to explore the Gata Pa Battle Site – where the Maori won in battle against the British.
You will now have a picture stop at the beautiful McLaren Falls Park – a 190-hectare lakeside park with one of New Zealand’s best arboretums and a stunning scenic waterfall.
On the way to your final stop, you pass by Kiwifruit and Avocado orchards with views of the beautiful Wairoa river on the way to a panoramic viewpoint (Weather permitting) from here you will see spectacular views of the orchards and islands in the distance, and you may even be able to spot your ship!
The day is topped off at the end by a stop to Bobby’s fresh fish market where you will get to receive a free fish and chip lunch before heading back to your ship.
