08:00

The tour will commence with a scenic drive to Serra do Facho, where the tour will stop for approximately 10 minutes to allow photo opportunities of the beautiful beach, bay, and city of Praia da Vitória, the viewing point is spectacular.

We then set off on a panoramic drive to Serra do Cume. Here we can view the largest crater of the Azores, known as the ‘patchwork’ due to its profound green fields surrounded by volcanic stone walls. Your driver-guide will be on hand to give you the information on this delightful viewpoint and how this has come to pass.

Continuing on the tour to Biscoitos. Biscoitos is a quaint town famous for its wine production and of course the natural clear swimming pools. Your driver-guide will show you the many natural pools and how the area has been developed to make it accessible for people to access the pools and beaches. You will also get the opportunity to view the many vineyards in the area, with photo opportunities along the way.

Within Biscoitos we will visit a local cheese factory, to learn about the production of cheese, the distribution, and best of all getting to sample some of the cheese produced. There is an opportunity of buying the local cheese during this stop.

The tour will then progress to Monte Brasil, a volcanic peninsular surrounded by a Spanish fortress built in the 16th Century. From the viewpoint from the top we can see the city of Angra da Heroismo, where there is a British Artillery dating back to World War II.

The tour will continue to Porto Judeu, where we will take in a buffet lunch, which is included within the tour price or you can just simply stroll around the town to take in the beautiful scenery.

After lunch, we will drive to Sao Sebastiao, where we will visit the oldest church on the island dating back to the 16th century, it has colorful mosaics.

The final stop on this tour will be Furnas do Enxofre, situated in the South-Eastern part of the island.
