Highlights

Honningsvag
Honningsvåg is the northernmost town in mainland Norway. It is located in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county. It is also one of the smallest cities in Norway. Honningsvåg is situated at a bay on the southeastern side of the large island of Magerøya, while the famous North Cape and its visitor center are on the northern side of the island. Honningsvåg is a port of call for cruise ships, especially in the summer months. The ice-free ocean (southwestern part of the Barents Sea) provides rich fisheries and tourism is also important to the town.
North Cape
North Cape (Norwegian: Nordkapp) is a cape on the northern coast of the island of Magerøya in Northern Norway. The cape is in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The European route E69 highway has its northern terminus at North Cape, which makes it the northernmost point in Europe that can be accessed by car and makes the E69 the northernmost public road in Europe. The plateau is a popular tourist attraction. The cape includes a 307-meter-high cliff (1,007 ft) with a large flat plateau on top, where visitors, weather permitting, can watch the midnight sun and views of the Barents Sea to the north. North Cape Hall, a visitor centre, was built in 1988 on the plateau. It includes a café, restaurant, post office, souvenir shop, a small museum, and video cinema.
The North Cape Hall
For several hundred years, the North Cape, which is located at 71°10'21, has attracted people from every corner of the globe. The globe monument erected in 1978 has become the actual symbol for the North Cape. At present, Nordkapphall (North Cape Hall) is firmly ensconced on the massive cliff, 307 m above sea level, and marks the northernmost tip of Europe, representing the final frontier with the arctic sea. Nordkapphallen (North Cape Hall) is open all year round and is a tourist centre for visitors to the North Cape. The centre offers a host of facilities. The Supervideograph wide-screen system shows a film byNordisk Film about the four seasons at the North Cape. There are exhibitions in the underground tunnel about the North Cape's long history as a destination for travellers. St Johannes Kapell is the world's northernmost ecumenical chapel and, when combined with the "Nordkapp Suiten", it is a popular venue for weddings. There is also a vast selection of items to choose from in the exciting souvenir and gift shop. The Kompasset restaurant provides good food and a fantastic view of the Arctic Ocean. The restaurant can seat 250 people, which is a good capacity for functions and banquets. The Grotten can seat 350, which means that it can be used for conferences, concerts and similar events. The coffee house is a nice place to enjoy a good cup of coffee and freshly baked waffles.
