Overview

Together with an experienced guide, you will visit those bars of Venice where locals go, and there are almost no tourists here. You will not find these bars in the tourist brochures. A variety of light snacks are served here together with wine. Sit talking with other visitors to the bar and enjoy picturesque views. The program includes visits to several bakari.

Highlights

Bacari
The Bacari of Venice - Venetian Wine Bars - One unique dining feature in Venice that we love are the wine bars, or bacari, where you can get a glass of wine and some finger foods, called cicchetti, which are often seafood based.
Venice
The romantic city of Venice is located in the Veneto region of Italy — one of the northernmost states. This ancient and historically important city was originally built on 100 small islands in the Adriatic Sea. Instead of roads, Venice relies on a series of waterways and canals. One of the most famous areas of the city is the world-renowned Grand Canal thoroughfare, which was a major centre of the Renaissance. Another unmistakable area is the central square in Venice, called the Piazza San Marco. This is where you’ll find a range of Byzantine mosaics, the Campanile bell and, of course, the stunning St. Mark’s Basilica.

Itinerary

17:00

Meet with your guide at Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, on the steps in front of the main entrance.

You will visit two or three (maybe four if you are really hungry) of the best Osterie in Venice where you will taste the scrumptious food and drink some special wines.

You will eat your way through some amazing and delicious cicchetti (Venetian typical snacks) and sample some local Venetian wine and you will be able to discover all about Venice’s everyday life, Venetian people and their culture.

Say goodbye to the guide in the last bakari and the guide will tell you what is the easiest way to get back to your hotel or where to continue the evening.
