Overview

Wat Yansangwararam or Wat Yan is the temple complex, located on an area of ​​145 hectares about 20 kilometers south of Pattaya, is one of the largest active monasteries in Thailand. The complex is situated on the shore of the picturesque lake in the valley surrounded by the mountains. Highlights

Karen Village
The village of the Karen tribe, also known as the "village of long-necked women", is located in the north of Thailand, in the Pattaya region. The Karen tribe migrated to Thailand from neighboring Myanmar. The Thai government has allowed refugees to stay in their traditions and customs.
Pattaya
Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it’s now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay.
Viharn Sien
Viharn Sien Pattaya is a majestic three-tiered Chinese temple, place of worship and museum. The official name of the temple is Anek Kusala Sala, bestowed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX the Great). But usually, the temple is called Viharn Sien, because inside the temple are collections of Chinese saints ('sien' means saint). Viharn Sien is a real cultural treat. All three floors house unique exhibits displaying religious artifacts from the Mahayana and Theravada Buddhist sects.
Wat Yan Temple
Wat Yanasangwararam Voramahavihan (more often called abbreviated as Wat Yan) is a functioning Buddhist monastery and temple complex in the Chonburi province, 16 km from Pattaya, Thailand. Founded in 1976. The territory of the complex is 58.64 hectares. Since 1988, Wat Yan has been a first-class royal monastery. The founder of the monastery is Somdet Pra Yanasangwon.

You will be picked up at the hotel you are staying in Pattaya.

The first stop in your tour will be near Khao Chi Chan mountain where you will see the 160-meter image of the Buddha, lined with gold plates.

Then you will head towards the Viharn Sien monastery where you will admire the world’s largest solid granite lions, a huge number of figures of gods and saints and world-famous terracotta warriors from the tomb of the first emperor of China, which can be found in the only place outside of China.

The guide will take you then to discover the scenic large territory of Wat Yan temple.

The next stop will be at the temple with the sacred relic – “The footstep of Buddha”.

The last stop in your tour will be Karen village where you will meet the owners of the longest necks and find out why women of Karen village from the age of five, wear brass rings around the neck.
