Itinerary

You will be met at the port and guided you to your air conditioned transportation ready to commence your tour.
The tour will commence with a scenic journey to Pisa, famous for the Leaning Tower, the Baptistry and the Square of Miracles. There will be plenty of time here for your photo opportunities and to enjoy souvenir shopping or just simply taking in the ambience in the square. There will be approximately 1-hour free time in Pisa. The tour will then continue with a wonderful scenic journey through the Tuscany hills to a local winery. On arrival you will be given a historical description of the land and the estate before visiting the wine cellars to see the wine process and to learn all about the production of the wines before going on sale. The tour will continue with a horse drawn carriage journey around the estate. Throughout the year the vineyards are constantly cared for to ensure they obtain the best grapes for the wine. Here you will learn about the history of the estate and how the produce is cared for and brought to market. Finally, you will have a lunch, which will include a mix of cold cuts, pecorino cheeses, crostini, bruschetta, pasta with meat sauce (vegetarian sauce is available) and Cantuccini (typical Tuscan biscuits). The wine tasting will include Pitti Sangiovese (red), Cenja Vermentino (white), Torre del Vajo (red-super Tuscan wine) and Dolce Peccato – Passito (sweet wine to drink with Cantuccini). There will be a little leisure time at the estate to browse the winery shop.
You will then be returned back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
