Itinerary

10:00

From the cruise port, we will embark on a scenic journey traveling through the ages, whilst your guide gives commentary about the culture and traditions of Volos and Pelion.

Driving up to the picturesque village of Pelion at an altitude of 700m, the views are incredible.  Once we arrive in the village we will embark on a short walking tour of the narrow streets, your guide pointing out the old houses boasting character and history.

The main square of the village is something not to miss, a traditional square, lined with trees, with an elegant fountain and a tiny church which is from the 13th century.

Learn from the guide the stories about the battle between the gods and the giants and how Pelion was the mountain that the gods held their weddings and beauty competitions.

After the walking tour, you will be able to explore the streets on your own, take in the charming ambiance of this beautiful village, or possibly do a little souvenir shopping before returning back to the coach.

After the most wonderful, educating, scenic tour, you will be returned back to the cruise port in Volos, in plenty of time for your cruise ship’s departure.
