Highlights

Andorra
Andorra is a sovereign landlocked microstate on the Iberian Peninsula, in the eastern Pyrenees, bordered by France to the north and Spain to the south. Believed to have been created by Charlemagne, Andorra was ruled by the count of Urgell until 988, when it was transferred to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Urgell. The present principality was formed by a charter in 1278. It is known as a principality as it is a diarchy headed by two princes: the Bishop of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain, and the President of the French Republic.
Andorra la Vella
Andorra la Vella is the capital of the Principality of Andorra. It is located high in the east Pyrenees, between France and Spain. It is also the name of the parish that surrounds the capital.
Church of Sant Esteve
The Church of Sant Esteve is a church located in the Plaza del Príncep Benlloch in Andorra la Vella, the capital of the principality of Andorra. It is a protected property registered in the Cultural Heritage of Andorra. It was built in the 12th century and later restored in the 20th century. Originally Romanesque, it has been modified and expanded on different occasions, the last and most important in the 20th century.
Pyrenees
The Pyrenees is a mountain range between Spain and France. Reaching a height of 3,404 metres (11,168 ft) altitude at the peak of Aneto, it extends for about 491 km (305 mi) from its union with Cantabrian Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea (Cap de Creus). For the most part, the main crest forms a divide between Spain and France, with the microstate of Andorra sandwiched in between. Historically, the Crown of Aragon and the Kingdom of Navarre extended on both sides of the mountain range.
The Casa d’Areny-Plandolit
The Casa d’Areny-Plandolit is the museum in the centre of the village of Ordino. The original building dates back to the 12th century and has been refurbished several times. The tour takes us to 19th and 20th-century Andorra and shows us many objects that are unique and exclusive to this family, who were very important between 1600 and 1900, the only family with nobility titles in the principality at a time when luxuries and comforts did not exist in Andorra.
The Casa Rull Museum
The Casa Rull Museum (in Catalan: Museu Casa Rull) is an ethnology museum of the Principality of Andorra, located on Calle Mayor de Sispony (La Massana). The museum shows a wealthy family house from the 19th century, one of the richest in the parish of La Massana. Although the house is older, since it dates from the 17th century, the visit focuses on the way of living in Andorra between the 19th and early 20th centuries, just as the Perich family did, where farming and livestock were the basis Andorran society, even the well-off.
