Baotu Spring Park
Baotu Spring Park is located in the bustling central district of Ji'nan city. It is a garden with Baotu spring as the main attraction. Having a history of more than 2000 years, The Baotu Spring is well renowned around the world, ranking number one of Ji'nan's 72 Famous Springs. It has been featured in multiple literary works, such as "Baotu Spring" by famous chinese author Lao She. The spectacular scene of spring water errupting out from its three outlets is also a popular attraction among visitors.
Jinan
Jinan is one of China's megalopolises and sub-provincial cities. It is also the political, economic, cultural, and financial center of Shandong province. Jinan lies in the northern foothills of the Mount Tai massif, on the high ground just south of the Huang He (Yellow River), which provides the major route along the north side of the Shandong Hills. Jinan’s modern growth began in 1852, when the Huang He shifted its course to the old riverbed of the Ji, just north of the city. In 1912 the north-south railway from Tianjin to Pukou was completed, with a rail junction at Jinan. The city rapidly became a major commercial and collecting centre for the rich agricultural region to the north. Today Jinan is the chief cultural centre in Shandong, with agricultural, medical, and engineering colleges and several universities—notably Shandong University (1901). There are also many relics of Jinan’s historical importance. The surrounding area has many well-known sites of natural beauty. Mount Tai, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1987, is one of China’s main tourist attractions.
